April is National Gardening Month and the time we celebrate Earth Day, both great reasons to connect with nature and improve your little patch of earth.

And here are a few freebies and great activities to get you started.

Free Gardening Kits
Lowes is celebrating the month by giving away free gardening kits every Thursday. The gardening kits include a food themed Garden-to-Go kit and a starter kit for a butterfly garden which is perfect for kids. Starting on April 1 you can sign up for your free gardening kit at Lowes.com.

Plant Something

The perfect opportunity to get inspired and select beautiful, low-maintenance native plants that are made for Texas weather and ideal for bees and butterflies.
